Help BomBoy get through 20 levels by collecting all the keys and then getting him to the exit before he explodes!

Gameplay tips

  • You get a 5 second headstart at the begining of each level from when you start moving to when the fuse starts burning. Make good use of it!
  • If you pick up an hourglass you will get another 5 seconds without the fuse burning to build up more of a lead.
  • If the spark reaches a point where the unburnt fuse overlaps itself the spark will take the shortest route to BomBoy. Try to avoid crossing over unburnt fuse unless you have to.
  • When turning a corner press the new direction key just before BomBoy reaches the corner to ensure he will keep moving smoothly.

Background

I made BomBoy over a month in my spare time. It was intended to be a small project to take a break from a more complex game I had been working on but it ended up taking longer than I expected.

It is based on a simple game mechanic I came up with which I think I have explored reasonable well in the current 20 levels. I have a few ideas how to build upon it though, so perhaps I will make a sequel at some point.
